'ONE OF OLDEST COUPLES NOW LIVING IN THIS CITY
MR. AND MRS. JOHN KYLE OF BEACON STREET HAVE BOTH PASSED FOUR SCORE MARK
-One of the oldest couples in the city are Mr. and Mrs. John Kyle, who live on Beacon street. The TIMES man in his search for elderly people enjoyed a pleasant call upon them.
John Kyle, living rear of 87 Beacon street, was born in County Tryone, Ireland, in 1826, the exact date not being known. He came from Ireland to Moncton, N.B., when he was two years of age. His father was a farmer, and he grew up on the farm where he remained until 1885, when he came to Woburn, where he has since made his home, following his occupation as a farmer. He retired from active work about three years ago, owing to rheumatism with which he is a great sufferer at times.
He has been twice married, his first wife to whom he was married lived but seven years. His second wife was Miss Eliza Jane Ray, of Grand Lake, N.B. He is the father of nine children, four daughters, Mrs. George A. Armstrong of Oregon, Mrs. J. J. Crossman of Moncton, N. B.., Mrs. Alexander Blythe and A. O'Connell (actually McConnell) of Cambridge, and one son John A. of this city, still living.
He has always enjoyed good health and is still rugged and hearty save his rheumatic troubles and a slight deafness.
His wife was born in Grand Lake, N.B., September 10, 1825. She was married to John Kyle in 1863, and they have lived in Woburn since 1885.
She has always been a hardworking woman and is still active, doing her own work, her eyesight being the only faculty that is failing her.'

The above mentioned news article says that John's father brought him to Moncton, NB at age 2, and that John was born in 1825, the exact date not being known. I do not know if his father William came over with other family.
I have not found records placing John in Moncton, despite what the news article reads. I can however place him in Saint John, per census records.
The news article also states that John and his father were from Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
Article also states the married names of his surviving children by 1907, and that his father William was a farmer, and raised John on the farm. John is also cited as being a farmer, having retired by age 77 due to rheumatism.

If any of these names rings any bells please let me know!
